Autojob Warranty Terms & Conditions General Overview
Autojob provides warranty cover for all parts sold and services carried out, including cleaning, recoring, repair, and replacement of Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), Catalytic Converters (CAT), Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), and Gasoline Particulate Filters (GPF). This warranty is offered in addition to your statutory rights under Irish consumer protection law.
Scope of Warranty
New Units
All brand-new units supplied by Autojob are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase or installation (whichever occurs first). This covers manufacturing defects and performance failure under normal conditions.
Serviced Second-Hand & Reconditioned Units
Covered by a 6-month warranty unless stated otherwise. This includes units that have been cleaned, restored, or recored.
Repair & Cleaning Services
Covered for 3 months, applying to workmanship only. This does not cover underlying vehicle issues that cause recontamination or blockage.
What the Warranty Covers
- Manufacturing defects in new units
- Faults due to poor workmanship in Autojob’s services
- Weld failure, cracking, or poor structural integrity caused during recoring, cleaning, or fitment by Autojob
What the Warranty Does NOT Cover
The warranty will be void if failure is due to:
- Negligence or misuse of the emissions system
- Improper installation or handling by third parties, including unqualified fitters/installers
- Underlying vehicle faults, including:
- Excessive oil consumption
- Faulty injectors or turbochargers
- EGR or AdBlue faults
- Faulty or disconnected sensors
- Aftermarket ECU remaps or tuning boxes
- Incomplete or failed regeneration
- ABS or other system-related malfunctions
- Use of incorrect fuel, oil, or additives
- Ignoring dashboard warning lights
- Physical damage or tampering
- Units not fitted within 14 days unless agreed in writing
- Clogged or blocked DPFs under any circumstances
- Any product failure due to improper use of DPFs, CATs, DOCs, SCRs, or GPFs will immediately void warranty
Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty eligibility, customers must:
- Ensure the vehicle is in good mechanical condition prior to fitment.
- Provide proof of professional installation (if not carried out by Autojob).
- Follow Autojob’s fitting, regeneration, and diagnostic guidelines.
- Identify and correct the root cause of the emissions unit failure before installing a cleaned, recored, or replacement part.
- Ensure the vehicle is operating with unmodified engine control software (OE factory settings only).
- Retain and provide supporting documentation, including:
- Vehicle diagnostic logs before and after installation
- A written description of the original fault
- Steps taken to address the root cause
- List of any related component replacements
- Updated description of the issue if submitting a claim
- Engine ECU software version (required for all claims)
- Vehicle mileage and associated dates for all steps taken
- Notify Autojob within 7 days of any suspected issue.
- Return the unit for inspection if requested.
Claims Procedure

- Units must be returned for inspection if requested.
- Warranty claims must include the following supporting documentation:
- Original fault description
- Full outline of corrective action and parts replaced
- Diagnostic logs before and after installation
- Updated description of the current fault
- Engine ECU software version (must be OE, unmodified)
- Vehicle mileage and corresponding dates
- Claims submitted without these documents may be declined.
- A valid proof of purchase is required in all cases.
Remedies
If a claim is valid, Autojob will:
- Repair the unit
- Replace the unit
- Refund the original part cost (labour excluded)
Decision made at Autojob’s discretion.
Limitation of Liability
Autojob is not responsible for:
- Downtime or lost earnings
- Towing or recovery charges
- Vehicle rental or third-party costs
Our liability is strictly limited to the part or service we directly supplied.
Commercial Customers
Trade or commercial warranties are limited to 6 months, parts only. Labour is excluded unless explicitly agreed in writing.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by Irish law. Any disputes shall be handled through the Irish legal system.
